About ECOSOC
Welcome to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), one of the principal organs of the United Nations, focused on promoting international economic and social cooperation and development.
ECOSOC addresses a wide range of global issues, including poverty, education, health, gender equality, sustainable development, and humanitarian affairs. It coordinates the work of UN agencies and engages with NGOs and experts to shape effective global policies.
As delegates, your role is to represent your country’s development priorities, collaborate on inclusive solutions, and work toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

CHAIR
Akash koti
Akash Koti is currently serving as the Managing Executive for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Propall.AI, an innovative Corporation that converts 2D floor plans and sketches into 3D walkthroughs within a day. He is also the Director of Marketing and Personnel at SV Builders and Developers, a major real estate firm in Hyderabad. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Gandipet. He’s served as the Deputy Secretary General of Concordia MUN and a Member of the CBITMUN Secretariat. Facing difficulties in communication and lacking soft skills all his childhood, Akash overcame these problems and credits a huge part of it to MUNs. He’s a person who finds humour even in the worst of situations and believes that any problem, major or minor, can be solved with a common consensus.

Vidya Nandavaram
A 12th grader with great passion and enthusiasm, Vidya Sri Nandavaram can be described as jack of all trades. With plenty of experiences in multiple fields ranging from debates to making music, she’s working on herself everyday to strive to be a better version of herself while also helping others in this journey. She’s excited to work with everyone in SMUN 2025!
