ABOUT DISEC
Welcome to the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. DISEC focuses on global peace and security, specifically disarmament, arms control, and preventing the spread of weapons.
In this committee, all UN member states come together to discuss issues like nuclear weapons, conventional arms, regional conflicts, and emerging threats such as cyber warfare. While DISEC resolutions are non-binding, they carry significant diplomatic weight and influence global policy.
As delegates, your role is to represent your country’s position, engage in diplomatic debate, and work together to create realistic and effective solutions to today’s security challenges.

Suhas K. Verma
Suhas Itha lives by one motto "be humble or get humbled". Suhas is a student from symbiosis Hyderabad and he is on track to become a lawyer. He has been doing MUNs since 2020. Besides re-watching suits for the 100th time he also enjoys reading very long UN documents which he claims he does for fun. He is very excited to serve as your executive board for this MUN.

Verna Chand
Verna Chand is an A-level student studying Psychology, Arts and Design, Business Studies, and English Language at Keystone International school.
She aspires to study psychology, English, and marketing at a higher level. She's often busy trying new things out (especially food!). After discovering her interest in the below, she's frequently attending MUNs and playing basketball with her friends. In her free time, you'll find her sketching, cooking, or jamming to music! Verna is eager to attend Sreenidhi MUN for a fruitful experience, See you there!

Agastya Reddy
Agastya Reddy, a DP1 student at Indus International, is an aspiring trader with a passion for stocks, finance, and market crash analysis. He is pursuing top economics colleges in the UK and enjoys debating, which he calls "verbal boxing." Despite being a “finance guy,” spelling continues to be his greatest nemesis. Agastya has participated in numerous competitions and is passionate about boxing, LEGO, and teaching money habits. He is excited to meet delegates and prove finance can be fun!
