About UNSC
Welcome to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the most powerful body in the UN system, responsible for maintaining international peace and security.
The UNSC deals with global conflicts, authorizes peacekeeping missions, imposes sanctions, and can even approve the use of force. It consists of 15 members, including 5 permanent members with veto power and 10 non-permanent members elected for two-year terms.
As delegates, you are tasked with making critical decisions that can impact international peace, balancing national interests with global stability.
We expect sharp diplomacy, strong negotiation, and realistic resolutions. Welcome to the UNSC!

Kingshuk
I’m Kingshuk, and I will be serving as the Chair of UNSC. Pursuing a bachelor’s in Food Science and Technology at Gitam University, Hyderabad, I bring with me experience of chairing multiple conferences across 15+ types of committees from UNHRC, UNFCCC, and UNSC to specialized ones like Marvel and Star Wars.
As the Founder and President of GMUN Hyderabad, I’ve worked to establish it as a hub of diplomacy and debate, while also organizing one of the largest events on our campus.
For me, MUNs are the perfect blend of diplomacy, debate, and storytelling. Delegates can expect patience, fairness, and an engaging environment where every voice matters. Outside MUNs, I’m also a film critic across multiple platforms.
Guided by the belief that “with great power, there must also come great responsibility" 🕷
I aim to make this committee a space for collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
VICE PRESIDENT
Pavan Nenavath
​Nenavath Pavan Rathod, an Indian diplomat and negotiator, has been a prominent figure in the MUN circles and global power structures. With over 40 Model United Nations under his belt, he has shaped policy and served in various roles. As the Vice President of the United Nations Security Council at Sreenidhi MUN, he upholds diplomacy and global cooperation. Pavan's mission is driven by justice, equality, and empowerment for young minds. He has participated in various initiatives, such as Teach For India and the DefIndia Digital Literacy movement, and has written policy papers on gender inclusion and inclusive governance. His speeches have led to significant changes in the room.
