Welcome to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the most powerful body in the UN system, responsible for maintaining international peace and security.
The UNSC deals with global conflicts, authorizes peacekeeping missions, imposes sanctions, and can even approve the use of force. It consists of 15 members, including 5 permanent members with veto power and 10 non-permanent members elected for two-year terms.
